Ramsons Launches Arts Partnership

In July, Ramsons announced a soft launch of its new strategic arts partnership when it hosted, on behalf of Delta Poets, Virginia’s former Poet Laurette and National Book Award Finalist, Tim Seibles for a poetry reading at Downtown Jonesboro’s Recovery Room. On the heels of this very successful sold-out event, Ramsons signed up to sponsor the “Shop Local Shows Summer Concert Series.”
Ramsons’ Vice President, Scott McDaniel, stated, “It may seem odd for a contractor to focus its corporate giving on the arts. But the reality is, while we build buildings, the arts build people.”

Ramsons has always taken its philanthropic responsibility seriously. We’ve regularly provided both monetary and in-kind contributions to the regions’ thriving non-profits. Past initiatives have included helping launch the Children’s Advocacy Center by constructing their original facility in kind to regularly sponsoring local events like Charity Ball and the NEA Duck Classic. Ramsons hasn’t however until now, developed a truly strategic, focused, philanthropic plan. While Ramsons will naturally continue to give to various non-arts-related charities, its primary giving focus will be geared towards supporting regional arts programs and initiatives.
