Over the past year, Ramsons has worked with ARPets Hospital to completely upgrade their facility in Brookland, Arkansas. ARPets provides top-rated veterinary care, utilizing state-of-the-art equipment and a full-service pharmacy.

Their clinic serves Northeast Arkansas, Southeast Missouri, and the surrounding areas.

The first phase of the project included designing and building the “Pawliday Inn,” a brand-new facility offering pet boarding services. This building is located directly behind the ARPets Hospital. For the first time in history, Ramsons installed a sewer processing system called the “Fugi System,” which improves their existing septic system and does not require a leach field.

Michael Lindley, the project manager at Ramsons, mentioned that the biggest challenge they faced was the rain, leading to excess groundwater on-site. To stay on schedule, Ramsons collaborated with a local engineer to diligently replace the mud with SB-2 rock. Additionally, the demand for metal and steel drove prices up and caused shipping delays. Despite these challenges, Ramsons completed the Pawliday Inn facility as scheduled.

The current phase of the ARPets project involves a 2,000 square foot addition to the existing building. The new features include cat and dog exam rooms, a new X-ray room, a conference room, and a breakroom. Once this phase is complete, Ramsons will begin the final phase of the project, which includes demolishing and fully remodeling the existing side of the building.

One of the most unique features of this project is the replacement of the building’s exterior with charcoal grey metal wall panels and copper metallic bronze roof panels. Additionally, the wainscoted white fieldstone truly sets the building apart.

Much of the project was designed in-house by Ramsons’ Michael Lindley and Britt Frankenberger, along with the owners, Dr. Kristin and Michael Sullivan. The design was then sent to local architect Jeff Steiling for drawings and code review. Throughout the project, Steiling worked closely with the owners and Ramsons to achieve the desired look and feel.

Overall, the collaborative efforts of ARPets Hospital, Ramsons, and the local community have culminated in a remarkable transformation of the Brookland facility. The innovative features, such as the “Pawliday Inn” and the unique exterior design, highlight the commitment to providing exceptional veterinary care. As the project progresses to its final phase, ARPets Hospital is poised to set new standards in the region, ensuring that pets and their owners receive the best possible care and service.
